EMARE- Grants for European Media Artists for Germany and The Netherlands


The 13th European Media Artists in Residence Exchange will take place in
Autumn 2007 to Spring 2008.

Europe based Media Artists in the fields of digital media including
internet and computer based art, filmmakers, sound and video artists are
invited to apply for a two months residence based stipend at IMPAKT,
Utrecht, The Netherlands or at Werkleitz Gesellschaft's Center for Media
Arts in Halle, Germany. Students are not permitted, but young artists
encouraged.

EMARE includes a grant of 2.000 Euro, free accomodation, 250
Euro travel expenses, access to the technical facilities and media labs.

Entries should include a CV, (audio)visual reference projects
documentation (no originals) and a proposal sketch for the project which
should be developed within EMARE.

card within Europe should contact one of the following institutions for
further details and application form or visit the homepage.

Mobile phones and RFID offer new – cultural — possibilities to link digital and physical space. In this hybrid world beautiful projects emerge in which the digital kisses the physical.

The A4 programme, launched by B.P.S.22 Project in order to present the work of young artists, returns to the Centre for Fine Arts with HELL’O MONSTERS, a group of four artists – Blastus, Desro, Ewing 33, and Tatone – who have emerged from the graffiti scene. Drawings in ink, made with markers or spray cans, and in paint create a fantastic world peopled by imaginary characters, spreading across the walls of the Centre.
