Op zaterdag 11 augustus opent GO Gallery de expositie Aerosol Symphonies.
(Aerosol = spuitbus). De opening van deze expositie valt samen met de start van het Grachtenfestival 2007 in Amsterdam. Het Grachtenfestival is het jaarlijks terugkerende muziekfestival waarvan uitvoeringen van (klassieke) muziek op bijzondere locaties in Amsterdam de basis vormen.

Op de expositie Aerosol Symphonies, worden de werelden van klassieke muziek en moderne kunst / street-art bij elkaar gebracht.
12 jonge kunstenaars hebben zich laten inspireren door een opera, componist of symfonie. Ze hebben allemaal een aantal klassieke muziekstukken uitgekozen, muziekstukken die hen raken en inspireren. Deze muziek, het ontstaan en het verhaal ervan, is grondig bestudeerd.
Naar dit muziekstuk hebben de kunstenaars vervolgens een eigen kunstwerk, een schilderij, gecomponeerd.

Zoals de componist geïnspireerd zal zijn door beelden uit zà jn omgeving, is in dit geval de kunstenaar geïnspireerd door de muziek van zijn favoriete componist.
De deelnemende kustenaars aan deze expositie zijn de volgende:



Faith 71, In hout (Johan Andeloe), Illustrator Tiquestar Illuminat Rex, Laser 3.14,
Morcky & The Boghe (Two Things), Pauline Niks, Weasel, Recal, Lèstoir , Zedz en DelightDelirium.

De deelnemende kunstenaars zijn niet de eerste de beste street-art kunstenaars die in de Amsterdamse nachten hun kunsten vertonen en uitgenodigd zijn voor deze expositie:
Laser 3.14 heeft de laatste jaren grote bekendheid gekregen met zijn straatgedichten. Bij zijn werk voert de vorm niet meer de boventoon, de inhoud des te meer. Zijn teksten hebben vaak een maatschappij kritische ondertoon. Laser 3.14 is tevens de curator van deze expositie.
Morcky, één van het duo Two Things, heeft de afgelopen jaren o.a. videoclips en reclames gemaakt voor o.a.: Heineken, EMI (videoclips voor Anouk en Brain Power), Adidas, Nike, IDTV.



Faith71 schildert veel in opdracht, o.a. voor de gemeente Amsterdam, op bouwschuttingen en rolluiken (Waterlandplein, Amsterdam-Noord).
Het werk van Faith71 is o.a. aangekocht door het Amsterdams Historisch museum. Hij kreeg (inter)nationale bekendheid met zijn portret van Theo van Gogh in de Warmoesstraat te Amsterdam, op de dag van zijn moord, 2 november 2004.
Illustrator Tiquestar Illuminat Rex illustreert momenteel veel voor Vrij Nederland. Heeft de afgelopen jaren veel opdrachten gedaan voor o.a. ING en Postbank, LEVI’s, MTV, Tropen Instituut e.v.a..

On Saturday 11 augusts open GO Gallery the expositie Aerosol Symphonies. (Aerosol = aerosol).

The opening of this expositie coincides with the start of grachten festival 2007 in Amsterdam.



On the expositie Aerosol Symphonies, the worlds of traditional music and modern, urban, art at each other are brought. 10 young artists could be inspired by their favoriete opera, type-setter or symphony. They have all selected a number of traditional pieces of music, pieces of music which touch them and inspire. This music, the ontstaan and the tale of it, has been studied thoroughly. To this piece of music the artists have vervolgens their own art work, a painting, composed. Such as the type-setter be by pictures from zíjn surroundings, in this case the artist it will be inspired have been inspired by the music of its favoriete type-setter.



The participating coast arse to this expositie is the following: Faith 71, wood (Johan Andeloe), illustrator Tiquestar Illuminat Rex, laser 3.14, Morcky (Two Things), Pauline nothing, Weasel, Recal, Esther Claus and DelightDelirium.

The participating artists are not the first the besten.



Morcky one of the two-high rolling mill Two Things, has among other things made the previous years videoclips and publicities for among other things: Heineken, EMI (videoclips for Anouk and Brain Power), Adidas, Nike, IDTV.

Two Things (Morcky/The Boghe, Amsterdam) TwoThings creates anything between music videos, graphics, animations to work on the streets, playing with perspective, interacting with the surroundings, using calligraphy and robots. www.twothings.net



Faith71 much paint in task, among other things for the municipality Amsterdam, on bouwschuttingen and role shutters (water country square, Amsterdam-Noord), the work of Faith71 have been among other things bought by the from Amsterdam historical museum. He got (inter)nationale reputation with its portrait of Theo van Gogh in the Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam, on the day of its assassination, 2 November 2004th

laser 3.14 the last years large reputation has got with its street poems. At its work the form no longer monopolizes the conversation, the contents all the more. To be texts have frequently a society critical ondertoon.
