Me Bike - The Dream Bike Festival 27 – 29 July '07
The Me Bike – Dream Bike Festival was inspired by a Simpsons episode, where Homer was asked to build his dream car and does so with bubble domes, fins and horns that play ‘La Cucaracha’. In true Amsterdam style, the festival brings together international and national artists, bike aficionados and enthusiasts to conceive and present their very own Dream Bike.

This year’s Me Bike - The Dream Bike Festival will take place at the Westergasterrein. The question “What does your dream bike look like?” is answered by various mediums including paintings, graphics, animation, installations – and bicycles. Paper bikes, time machine bikes, love bikes, flower bikes – hundreds of ‘Dream Bikes’ will be on view.

Festival events include live bike customizations, a bike-related cinema program at the Ketelhuis, BMX demonstrations and a Children’s Corner by MacBike. A big city-wide bike tour, which everyone is welcome to join in, will take place on Saturday the 28th.
