CLUBSproject

CLUBSproject Inc. is an artist initiated project located above the Builders Arms Hotel, Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. CLUBS is a fully incorporated non-profit organisation that grew out of conversations in 2000–2001 and opened to the public in September 2002.

CLUBSproject aims to facilitate the diverse possibilities of art and related practices. CLUBS focuses on the way art comes about, and is made public, experienced and mediated. CLUBS endeavours to be a space that provides a flexible resource where individuals and groups can meet to discuss, experiment with, produce and make their practices public.

We're interested in generating and facilitating a platform for text-based projects and essays which extend from and develop the concerns of specific practices. This section provides space for the posting of texts in order to catalyze dialogue, debate and independent writing. We regard this space as a virtual extension of CLUBSproject and invite a multiplicity of contributions.
