On Saturday 5 November again the museum night Amsterdam takes place. 42 museums open their doors from 19.00 till 02.00 at night.

highlights

Opening by Erwin Olaf and DJ Joost of bels
The opening of the museum night is looked after this year photographer and video artist Erwin Olaf. Erwin Olaf have got international reputation by its documentary - and reclamefotografie. The last years is he also more and more busy will keep itself with (autonomously) video - and installation work.
From 20.00 till 21.00 Erwin Olaf give for the Dutch institute for medium art (Keizersgracht 264) on large baffles spectacular VJ performance with its newest video work. The performance will become musical supported by DJ Joost of bels. The museum night is opened officially.

Eindfeest
The eindfeest of the museum night take place this year in Paradiso, from 01.00 till 05.30 with among other things muzikant and sound artist Matthew Herbert. Matthew Herbert it has been among others confessed as a producer of the last CD of Roisin Murphy van Moloko and its project ` plat du Jour. Moreover make the Dutch polderfunk polderfunk-trio kraak & taste and DJ Aardvarck their opwachting. Cards for the eindfeest are available at the from Amsterdam Uitburo and Paradiso.


The film museum presents a number short 3D-films. The films Royal River and keep an Eye on the Ball being will see among other things. In another room one can dance on Scopitones (the first videoclips) in the quiet disco.

Laser sound performance
Slightly - and sound artist Edwin of of the heathland looks after performances during n8 the different spectacular laser sound (LSP). Laser sound performance is both visual and a musical and physical experience. Sound and picture keep each other in balance and complete each other in this performance. The picture is created by lasers on water curtains and smelled to project. The laser - and sound patterns come about by an direct link between picture and sounded. As the picture, changes the sound changes. LSP are see on the Oosterdok, the Nieuwmarkt and Mr. Visserplein. Friday 4 November for 19.00 there is especially a preview on the Oosterdok for photographers.

n8spel and KPN
The museum night combines art among other things with multimedia renewal.
For the museum night KPN and waag make society especially a game where participants with navigation - and communication equipment (GPS/gprs) a route passes through Amsterdam and underway photograph and small films make tel. with their provided and that send the location to the Internet site www.n8spel.nl. and route of every team is follow live on a large baffle in the waag and on the site.

During the museum night KPN show tevens what you can do with bar codes. In 6 different museums these bar codes hang at several art work.
