Finalists artist of the year confessed

The eight artists, who have penetrated to the final of the election artist of the year 2005 have been confessed. They compete to the eretitel artist of the year 2005.

it are Marianne Aartsen, Armando, Sam printer, Marlene Dumas, Toos van Holstein, Marianne Naerebout, Stijn Peeters and Jacques Tange.

The eight finalists have been chosen from twenty-five half finalists. Approximately 18,500 votes have stipulated which artists belong to the eight most appreciated contemporary expressive artists.

Jurriaan of finished hall, artist of the year 2004 on 9th the place and fell as a result, exactly outside the final. Corneille, artist of the year 2003, finished on 21ste the place.
In the last round of the election on 1 and 2 November from the eight finalists the artist of the year 2005 is chosen. The winner is confessed during art week ball on the first day of the art week, 4 November, is made.

Art week ball
The festive art week ball takes place in Van Nelle bldg. in Rotterdam. More than four hundred kunstliefhebbers at the disclosure of the artist of the year 2005 will be. Except the honour, the new artist of the year gets geldprijs of? 10,000, -.

Galerie of contemporary artists
On the basis of the number of votes that each artist in the second voice round has got, is the places 9 till 25 stipulated in the galerie of contemporary artists. The names with their positions previous year, have been published on the Internet site of the art week, www.kunstweek.nl.

The exposities are in important Van Nelle bldg. in Rotterdam.
The opening of the art week exposities is on 4 November at 17.15. The exposities have been opened the first day from approximately 17.15 till 19.30. All other days from 12.00 till 18.30.

Participating art museums, galerieën and kunstuitlenen
If during the complete art week to the art week a participating galerie or kunstuitleen is visited, one gets the art week attention. It, particularly has been fraai formed and a practical eierdopje with an artistic decoratie of the hand of Jurriaan of hall, artist of the year 2004.
